'Ella' one of the female dolphins found in Tin Can Bay, Queensland Australia

As a comparative psychologist I look at behaviour across species. My interests are mainly in felines and cetaceans.

 

In Tin Can Bay, Queensland, Australia live a group of very special dolphins - Australian Humpback Dolphins (Sousa sahulensis). I have been studying these dolphins for the last 10 years, looking at a very unique behaviour of the males.  Read my peer reviewed research papers on how they form close life long 'besties' as well as carrying objects and even giving them to us and why they might do that:
